To live in Southern California is to know someone who works in The Industry. Entertainment has been the lifeblood of the region since the first film studios began to move west from New Jersey in the early 1900s. Recently The Otis College of Art and Design predicted in its 2018 Otis Report on the Creative Economy that between 2016-2021 there will be a 12.3% increase in the number of jobs in the entertainment industry alone in the Los Angeles area. However, what about those individuals that are Industry Adjacent, how do these individuals see themselves fitting into the creative landscape of LA.?
